Our journey to Clear Path Parent Advocacy
Clear Path Parent Advocacy was born from lived experience — my own and my children’s. As an autistic parent raising autistic kids, I’ve spent years navigating school systems that weren’t built with neurodivergent families in mind. I’ve sat in meetings where I wasn’t heard, watched my children’s needs be misunderstood, and fought through layers of confusion just to make sure they received the support they deserved.
Those experiences — especially the long, exhausting battles to get properly supported — showed me how overwhelming and isolating this process can be for families. No parent should have to decode policies, push for clarity, or advocate alone while also caring for a child who needs them.
I started Clear Path Parent Advocacy because I know exactly what it feels like to be on the other side of that table. I understand the fear, the frustration, the hope, and the determination. And I know how powerful it is to have someone.

How we help parents feel confident and calm
When parents come to me, they’re usually carrying a lot — confusion, frustration, fear of saying the wrong thing, and exhaustion from trying to advocate alone. My first step is always the same: I slow everything down and listen. Parents finally get the space to tell their story without being rushed, judged, or dismissed.
From there, I help them sort through the noise. We break things down into clear, manageable pieces so they understand what’s actually happening at school, what their rights are, what options they have, and what steps come next. That clarity alone brings a huge sense of relief.
I also help parents prepare for every interaction with the school — emails, meetings, documentation, questions to ask, and how to communicate in a way that is calm, firm, and effective. When they walk into a meeting, they’re not guessing or hoping. They’re prepared, supported, and grounded. And because I’m autistic myself — and raising autistic kids — I.

What matters most in supporting families
What matters most to me is that families feel truly heard and understood. So many parents come to me after being dismissed, overwhelmed, or made to feel like they’re the problem. I never want a family to sit with that alone. My priority is creating a space where parents can breathe, slow down, and finally feel safe telling their story.
I care deeply about helping families find clarity — not just about the school’s processes, but about their own power. When parents understand their rights, their options, and the steps ahead, the stress starts to lift. They begin to feel grounded again.
And because I’m autistic myself and raising autistic kids, I know how heavy these situations can be. I know what it feels like to fight for your child while trying to stay regulated and calm. That’s why I focus on support that is steady, compassionate, and practical. I help families prepare, plan, and communicate in ways that reduce anxiety instead of a.
